Yachting Italy | Palermo:

Palermo offers the Yachting of the Aeolian Islands (7) in north part of Sicily, Malta and Tunisia. Another popular starting ports is Portorosa. As the largest island in the Mediterranean Palermo is surrounded by a number of small archipelagos. These unspoilt islands rising from crystal clear waters offer a magnificent sailing experience. This is without doubt the most relaxing way to escape the bustling crowds, enjoy spectacular rugged coastlines, explore quiet hidden beaches and gaze at amazing romantic sunsets.

Palermo is the capital of Palermo in the province of the same name, and is located on the north western coast of the island. The city then turns inwards and climbs up to Monreale, with its beautiful view. The glorious Conca d'Oro also makes up part of Palermo. The mountains crown the city, the gardens dress it in green, the sea caresses it and the sky covers the city with a blue veil.

Yachting Aeolian Islands

The Aeolian Islands are a group of seven volcanic islands just 45 minutes by hydrofoil from Milazzo and 1 hour 15 minutes from Messina, offering a different and slightly mysterious world from that of mainland Palermo. They have, until recently, remained largely unknown to tourists, though they have been famed for centuries by the cognoscenti for their association with Greek and Roman civilisations.

Yachting Italy | Palermo and subregions:

The waters around Sicily are scattered with small islands,  in groups or isolated: to the north, opposite the Straits of Messina there are the Aeolians or Lipari (Stromboli, Panaréa, Salina, Lipari, Vulcano, Filicudi and Alicudi) and the island of Ustica. To the west, the Egades archipelago faces the port of Trapani on the west coast of Palermo. A maritime nature park, since 1992, it is made up of three islands with dissimilar charms: Favignana, Marettimo and Levanzo. In short, Palermo is a little paradise for Yachting Italy.

Yachting Italy | Palermo Conditions:

This is a really big island, conditions are therefore varied, depending on where you are Yachting Palermo. Throughout the season, on the north and north-west coasts, the north-westerly or westerly breeze generally blows at between 10 and 20 knots. On the east coast, a sea breeze from the south (which can become quite strong) will blow during the day.
