Bareboat Italy | Nettuno:

Italy is surrounded by the Mediterranean very suitable for bareboat and has a long and varied coastline. The sea (il mare, il Mediterraneo) takes different names around the coast: to the west of Italy is the Ligurian Sea (Elba, Portoferraio, Follonica, Piombino, Punta Ala), and south of that is the Tyrrhenian (Napels, Nettuno, Salerno, Sorrento). Around the sole of Italy's boot lies the Ionian  and to the east is the Adriatic (Adriatico). A few sections are protected marine reserves, others (particularly in the south) have been spoiled by tacky half-constructed villas but in general charter ycht conditions are supurb with plent of yachts and marina's and nearby airports (Rome and Napels).

Bareboat Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast, Italy is a beautiful and renowned stretch of mountainous coastline south of Naples, in Campania - must be for a bareboat. The southern end of the Bay of Naples stretches out in a steep and rocky peninsula that reaches towards the Isle of Capri. Sorrento, another major tourist destination, looks back towards Naples from the north coast of the peninsula. The southern side of the peninsula is dotted with picturesque villages and towns clinging giddily to cliffs; this is what is known as the Amalfi Coast.

Bareboat Ischia

Ischia is an island of volcanic origins in Italy's Campania region, at the northern end of the Bay of Naples. The island is easily reached by ferries and hydrofoils from Naples, and every summer Italian families flock to Ischia's beaches in their thousands. As well as sandy beaches and blue sea, the island also boasts natural thermal springs, and the spa complexes around these are another major holiday attraction.
