The Ionian Islands on the west of mainland Greece include the beautiful islands
of Lefkas,
Cephalonia, Ithica, Meganissi, Kastos and Kalamos. Slightly further afield (but
perfectly attainable on a weeks charter) are the islands of Paxos and

These are the most beautiful islands in the mediteranean!

Bareboat Ionian Sea | Lefkas:
Lefkada is the only Ionian island linked to mainland Greece. A swing bridge gives easy access by road, with the airport of Preveza about a 30 minute drive. More visitors are being attracted yearly as the airport expands slowly and new developments pop up. The island and the surrounding area has a lot to offer - anything from Bareboat, windsurfing, cycling, scuba-diving, walking, exploring ancient archaeological sites or just that lazy beach holiday. You will probably find some of the most picturesque views around, looking out from the calmer waters of the east coast overlooking the famous Onassis island of Scorpios, the other islands and mainland Greece. On the west coast of Lefkada you will find beautiful beaches where you can watch spectacular sunsets.
Bareboat Ionian Sea | Lefkada: The Seven Islands from the
Ionian sea
(Greek: Eptanisa) listed
from North to South are:
· Corfu (capital)
· Paxos
· Lefkada
· The Inland Sea
· Ithaca
· Cephalonia
· Zakynthos (Zante)
· Kythera
Bareboat Ionian Sea | Corfu: Corfu is situated only 1 nm off the coast of Albania and the Greek region of Epirus and offers gentle green uplands in the south and rugged limestone hills in the north, rising to 906 m in the double peak of Mt Pantokrator. The references to Corfu from Homer to the present day praise the island as a lush green paradise spinning a soothing spell over all who visit it. In an age of package holidays the Corfu magic is continuously battered by jets winging in with yet more holidaymakers -and far, far more go to Corfu than to the rest of the Ionian - so it is surprising to find there are still charming and beautiful places on the island.
Corfu (Greek: Kerkyra) is the most northerly of the Ionian islands. Most
important ports are:
· Corfu Town
· Gouvia Marina
· Petriti village
· Paleokastritsa Port
· Ag. Stefanos Port
· Agni Bay

Exploring with a Bareboat yacht the 13,676 km of coastlines, one can definitely find the beaches of his dreams: long white sandy beaches with turquoise crystal waters, small beaches surrounded by huge cliffs or pine and palm trees forests, beaches with waters as if bleach waters was mixed with the blue color of the Mediterranean.

The winds are not as strong as in some parts of Greece, and will typically be of
F3/F4 strength in the afternoons. At night the winds usually die right down

very protected area with little or no sea swell, which results in the perfect
area for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on your own beautiful yacht
surrounded by the most perfect scenery. With no tides or currents to worry
about, the sailing is technically relatively simple, allowing you time to enjoy
your holiday.
